Luke at the Connect and Heal for WIPRO event alongside panelist Sunita Cherian (Chief Culture officer and the Senior VP – Corporate HR, Wipro) to talk about a topic he and his integrative team of experts coach every client and patient because this is fundamental to wellness. It is the A New Way Of Living – Nature and Aligning With Its Cycles.
During his talk, Luke introduced the nine rules of circadian rhythm and ways to imbibe it without having to compromise on fun, socializing, or entertainment time, the best prevention strategies for diabetes management and prevention, ways to overcome common nutritional deficiencies, what food cravings mean, losing weight a healthy and holistic way, and how corporates can arrive at the best work-life balance that works for them in a competitive world like today.
Luke’s practice has always been inspired by nature and its intelligence, and it was great to see Team WIPRO embrace this as a lifestyle change for wellness, not just at a personal level but at a corporate level too
The Q-Riosity Project – Addressing Stress, Burnout, Physical and Mental Wellness
In this engaging virtual tête-à-tête with the employees at WNS Global as part of The Q-riosity Project, Luke recalled his journey into holistic nutrition and integrative and lifestyle medicine. He delved into how uncontrolled work stress and physical and mental health conditions. And encouraged employees to take charge of their wellness, recommended sustainable eating habits, informed decisions they can make, and easy 5 to 10-minute exercises at the office or home. He addressed their queries on how research is now linking obesity with cancer and lifestyle changes to maintain a healthy weight. Last but certainly not least, he gave them valuable guidance on sleeping better and ways to avoid or manage burnout.
The Power of Combining Medicine And Lifestyle
Luke shares the platform with top doctors at IMA (Indian Medical Association) and talks about the power of lifestyle, and how medicine and lifestyle could complement each other to create a solid platform for health, healing, prevention and management. In this one-of-its-kind event, Luke spoke about the sea of possibilities that lie beyond medicine, and how he has witnessed healing with his own patients when they were made to adopt simple shifts in their nutrition, sleep, emotional health and activity levels. The 3rd webinar with Team Uber kickstarts with Luke addressing Emotional and Mental Well-being and sharing strategies and tools to help employees navigate stressors in their lives. Emotional well-being is one of the most important pillars of Integrative and Lifestyle Medicine. Almost every disease we handle today, whether a pimple or cancer, can be circled back to this pillar. Understanding the importance of this, it’s great to address corporate giants like Uber on this topic. Towards the end, Luke announced a 21-Day Mindfulness Challenge for the team to participate in and learn mindfulness through simple tasks and activities that Luke had designed for them.

Role of Balanced Cellular Nutrition in leading a holistic life
Shimpli Patil, our Head Nutritionist and Head of Training, conducted an enlightening session with Tata Power employees, shedding light on the significance of cellular nutrition and the impact it has on our body. During the session, she debunked various myths about nutrition and suggested ways to optimize the digestion and absorption of food.
Shimpli also provided insights into the benefits of gluten-free and dairy-free diets and when they might be necessary. The session concluded with Shimpli sharing the top three best practices for healthy eating and how to maintain a balance between indulging in festive treats and nourishing our bodies.
This session aimed to help employees make informed decisions about their nutrition habits while promoting a positive relationship with food.
Simple Lifestyle Changes
Understanding that immunity is the need of the hour, Shimpli Patil, Head Nutritionist and Head of Training at Team Luke, spent time with the employees at IBM to break down immunity into simple lifestyle changes one could make to train this intelligently designed system. From nutrition to yoga practices, rest, recovery, emotional factors, and fasting, Shimpli covered all the aspects required to train a strong immune system. She also dispelled certain myths and shared interesting scientific facts about immunity. Finally, she touched upon what an already immunocompromised individual can do to prevent falling sick. Team Luke is grateful to IBM for inviting Shimpli Patil to address a topic that is crucial to all.

The session covered relevant and need-of-the-hour topics for corporates like – burnout, work-life balance, managing sleep, exercise, and emotional health while also handling several other work and family responsibilities. Luke also discussed gut health and how crucial it is to maintain its health to feel well not just physically but mentally and emotionally too. The session ended on an inspiring note as Luke shared the top 3 lifestyle changes that every human should adopt to live a wholesome life.
Building sustainable habits in today’s busy world
Luke with the team at Dr. Reddy’s discussing ways to establish a sustainable lifestyle and healthy routine despite busy schedules. He emphasized the concept of small wins, highlighting that even minor lifestyle changes can have a compounding effect when done consistently over time. During the session, Luke also shared tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle while traveling, drawing from his personal experience of staying on track during work trips. Luke was pleased to see the team at Dr. Reddy’s making a conscious effort to evolve into a healthier, more balanced, and happier workforce week after week.
